There has been an estate at Wokefield since the first house was built in the 1560s for the wealthy Plowden family. Set in 250 acres of Berkshire parkland, its history is etched in the different architectural features that greet you throughout.
Now De Vere Wokefield Estate, the 376 bedroom hotel has been completely transformed following a £20 million restoration throughout: whether you choose to stay at Wokefield Place, Wellington Lodge or the estate’s historic Mansion House. Either way, you’ll find attentive service recognised by Tripadvisor and its Travellers’ Choice certificate for consistently great reviews for the 2nd year running.
A high-tech dedicated conference building, Wokefield Place has been refurbished and kitted out with all the AV and technology you need.

We loved staying here!
We came to spend the bank holidays weekend out of London in the countryside and booked this hotel very last minute.
We stayed at Wellington, the far building but the staff was always helped us and gave us a ride. The room was quite big and we like it was surrounded by nature.
Breakfast was generous and well served.
Swimming pool was great, and the bar and restaurant were also nice. Overall, the hotel areas were very modern.
The Mansion is extremely nice as well.
The staff were great.
Kelly in particular went the extra mile, super friendly, helpful, nice with the kids. Was nice that she was always around and always giving nice advice and helping in everything we needed.
Brandon was also very helpful and accommodated us in a super nice table at the restaurant for our special milestone celebration.
I would recommend to have a kids play area/room to make it outstanding for familias.We would love to come back!!!
Such a beautiful night away for our anniversary. Got married there 23 years ago and lovely to come back and be treated like we were getting married all over again! Special thanks to Ildiko in the bar and Aaron in Mansion, as well as all the team!
We arrived shortly after checking in time for our weekend stay and were welcomed by the kindest, friendliest staff who honestly could not of done more for us.
The bedroom was lovely setting up with a gorgeous view. The bathroom was very modern and impressive.
The food and drinks were outstanding and the catering staff were friendly, entertaining and very professional.
Honestly the best place I have stayed!
We will definitely be going back!
This was a wow moment when first arrived and the second of the De Vere we visited as we usually go to Windsor. Thanks for making us welcome. We will definitely visit again.
